I am trying to install Solidworks 2005 onto my new comp with Win 7 Pro 64 bit, but I keep getting 'Error 1911: Could not register type library for file c: Windows SysWOW64 CCXPButton.ocx' Any ideas how to fix this so that I can at least install the program? If I choose to ignore the problem, the install continues and then pops up 'Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.MSXML2,publicKeyToken='6bd6b9abf345378f',version='4.20.9818.0',type='win32',processorArchitecture='x86' Please refer to Help and Support for further information.' I had this program install and run great on my previous computer on Win XP Pro SP3. I would appreciate any help or info on how I could fix this or what to research. I have exhausted all my knowledge to this point and have no idea what to do.

Oct 26, 2015  This is the complete version of SolidWork 2015-2016. It works great you don’t need any code or you don’t have to pay for it. I got it when I was doing engineering so I just wanted to share.

Hello adamwisco, Solidworks 2005 is not compatible with Windows 7. According to the link below, only Solidworks 1010 is compatible. Even Solidworks 2009 is not compatible. You can try the following steps to see if it will help.

Refer to the link here: Make older programs run in this version of Windows If you run Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode () and execute your software in Windows XP. If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox () or VMware Player () or any other 3rd party virtualization software and install a separate copy of Windows XP (either Home Edition or Professional) for that purpose. You can find virtualization software free of charge that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium. Hope this helps with your questions.
