Once the music is compressed, it can never come back. In the case of this new Kanye AAC file, there is very little compression. In fact, I don't believe there is any, as I don't see any cut-off point that comes with 320kbps music. I'm not sure.
But it's definitely superior to your typical max quality LAME 320kbps CBR mp3 file. Fwiw, it's pretty hard to hear the difference between 320kbps mp3/AAC and CD/lossless. Like.you really have to have some good equipment or it won't matter a lot, as most headphones and speakers don't even get up into the high ranges of frequency.

And to add, the amount of potential sound you can hear is also limited by the frequency range of your headphones / speakers. My cans go up to something stupid like 47,000Hz which no human can hear.but I wouldn't be surprised if less expensive cans have a lower ceiling. I'd expect built-in computer speakers to be among the worst offenders.
Anyway, yea the 22Hz was loud and clear on my ears. So it's no surprise that I can very clearly hear the difference between mp3 and FLAC on most occasions.
