Instructions for Students and Faculty Prior to the Ceremony Professional photographs (i.e. Headshots) of all honored students and faculty members are displayed during the ceremony and / or at the reception. The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. • Student honorees should remain in the Music Hall foyer to line up for the student honoree procession. Family members and guests should enter and be seated in the Music Hall. • At the ceremony, you will receive a University of Pittsburgh pin that was designed for this occasion. It is hoped that you will wear this pin in years to come to remind you of the honor you brought to your alma mater.
• During the ceremony, you will be asked to stand with other academic or honorary fraternity awardees. Your name— although not announced during the ceremony—will appear in the printed program. Additional copies of the program will be available in the Office of Special Events, 1200 Bruce Hall, following the ceremony. • The convocation is open to the public, and your family is encouraged to attend.
The celebration of all honored students continues with a reception immediately following the ceremony in the Commons Room in the Cathedral of Learning. No tickets are necessary. • If you have a disability and require special accommodations in order to fully participate in the ceremony, please advise the Office of Special Events at 412-624-7100. We ask for your cooperation in notifying us as soon as possible.
